[sdiy] bench power supples

Hi all,

Well I know this has been asked before, and I've checked the  
archives, but cannot seem to pinpoint a straight answer. So...what is  
a good all-around bench power supply that isn't too ridiculously  
expensive that would be suitable for most synth diy projects? I'm  
fairly new to this whole sport, and I am still learning a lot so any  
help such as models and where to buy them would be greatly appreciated.
