[sdiy] Theremin controller/Bi polar Pot question

Thanks for the help.I managed to get a range of 12 inches by removing the 
inductor.So not quite sure what's going on there.

My other question is I have an ADSR and wanted to ask how i would go about 
haviling the level pot to give neg and positive outputs on the pot.Is it a 
case of having the inverted output on one pin of the pot,the uninverted 
output pin 3 and the bipolar output from the wiper.I cant find any example 
scematics anywhere
