I second this. They'd be ideal for use where you want a good wide
control range, from fast through to very slow, so think LFO 'rate'
controls and Envelope Generator 'attack', 'decay', etc. You can
probably get a 1:10000 range out of them.
In these applications, you won't need to worry about thermal noise.
