If you have a 440 Hz reference and a 5 V reference, you can use 5 V
= 440 Hz. That way the 0~10 V range covers 13.75~14080 Hz
instead of 16.35~16744 Hz with the 0 V = C0 system. I don't know
of anybody who does that, though.
