That was my experience, and I taked directly to Peratech. They have moved 
from selling actual products  to licensing their technology to OEMs. Last 
time I looked, Maplin still had some "QTC pills", but try buying anything 
else (or even those once their stocks are exhausted).

I mention this each time QTC comes up, because I got really excited about 
its possibilities, then was hugely disappointed - I'm trying to spare others 
that experience!

Of course, if we could all agree on a single material specification then we 
could have a run done by somebody...sort of a "group manufacture" rather 
than a "group buy" :-)
