Just because I have the fancy equipment doesn't mean that you should not be
able to measure it with CD quality sampling. It just becomes a different method
with its different limits. It can't be that the aspects are subtle enought not
to be in the sampled format, in that case we would hear complaints from people
all the time that the Mooginess or whatever is lost when turned digital. The
method of measurement may however be limited in various ways and a
comprehensive analysis that relate to the actual signal properties needs to be
done. Having the fancy equipment that I do have can however make certain
measurements easier to do, or at least easier to do with sufficient resolution.

Oh, one point I was trying to make was that you can do any measurement you
like, and take it as an indication, but one has to be very carefull in not to
overinterprent it until many of these small indications start to point in the
right direction and others agree with it.

No, this is a pandora box of worms you know. A nuke or two can make the first
level of damage control. :P

Cheers,
