Sorry, wrong heading obviously!!! On  my previous post

I guess if you were wanting to get an idea of what variation was happening
at 1Hz and below, you could just ring modulate between the signal and a 
crystal locked oscillator (or some digital source you trust). With the right
choice of reference signal, the pattern should be obvious.
