[sdiy] knobs

I just buy a strip of brass at the hardware store that is the 
dimensions of the slot in the shaft.  It's easy to cut or file to 
fit.  Fill the gap in each slotted shaft with a shim and use your 
setscrew knobs.  It will work fine.
