I like to check out the free cars first! I'm currently using TinyCAD for
schematic drawing (actually, just for outputting a netlist). Then I use
FreePCB for drawing the board. FreePCB is nice because you can redraw/resize
pads (important for one-sided, etch at home boards). I couldn't figure out
how to do this in Eagle Lite. Plus FreePCB has no size restrictions. You can
also route boards without the ratsnest if you prefer. Workflow is excellent
in this program, too.
If anyone is looking for PCB programs, check these out first. They're
free, fully supported, and so far so good.
