Are you running in a window under Win2000 or later?

If so you'll need to google up the hardware driver DLL: from 2000 onwards,
windows will not allow direct addresssing of the PC hardware, in this case
the UART.

If the problem is on a pure DOS/Win9x system then it could be serial
settings or the cable.

It took me ages to get my old Stag Logic programmer going, for the above
reasons.

It might be worth seeing if you can get some kind of response with
hyperterminal before trying the actual software again, That way you'd at
least have the serial settings and cabling right.
