Hex pickup (magnetic or piezo). Can you guys think of another solution for
detecting individual string strumming? hopefully something DIY and cheap?
Once the guitar/controler is finished, it does not necesary have to sound
right when the strings are strummed.
I was into guitar experimants when I was at school. One of my wierder
pickups was a set of magnets on the body, and the strings cionnected in
parallel to the primary of an old ribbon mic transfomer. It might work with
seperate transformers. Basically using the strings as the pickups. I can't
remember what it sounded like, or why I never did another, but I had
discovered synths by the time I left school, and never made another guitar.
