Hi
There are some ARM9 parts from ST and others with RAM and FLASH.
ARM9 is a ARM7 with hardware mult and divide plus DSP instructions.
There is a free set of tools from IAR but its limmited to 32k.
The obvious alternative would be the GNU toolchain.
I just started with the ST parts, for now I use the IAR tools. though
the parts themselfs have bigger FLASH than that 32k limmit. Work
around for me might be to install the 30 day full trial on a second
system after 99% of the programming has be done in smaller blocks.
Cheers
Theo (of to the musikmesse for a week)
