No, we're just all too busy developing our radically innovative and
spirited projects!
Myself, I thought the parallelism is the most interesting feature, much
as with FPGAs. I wondered if you could get each cog providing a Yamaha
FM operator, so that you had a 6 FM synth voice on a chip. That can't
be that hard - you only need a simple sine wave DDS oscillator and an
envelope in each cog.
In a similar vein, I wondered if you'd be able to get each cog
producing an LFO or Envelope output, so that you had all the modulation
sources that you might need for a voice on a single chip. Obviously in
this case you're going to need to interface to a multiple output DAC,
whereas the FM synth idea has the advantage of only needing a single
output.
Just looking at it, eight 32-bit processors at 80MHz in a package like
that makes me think that the main problem is going to be getting enough
information into and out of the chip. Aside from that, it looks like a
lot of fun.
