Howdy,

 take your acrylic sheet. Cut it halfway through with
the appropriate size hole saw. Flip it over and finish
the cut. You may want to set up a spindle on a belt or
disk sander to finish the edge at a super fine finish
grade. Epoxy your "axle mechanism" in the center hole
and Patty's your aunt.
