Thank you all for the many answers and solutions. Thanks a lot to Aaron as
always who is a teacher at heart. Thanks even to Vesa, my team mate Mo
wanted to jump him, but I personally think every critic is constructive.

This morning, we started the placement all over again. We layed down all the
components on the board as to minimize trace length by surrounding the ICs
with their direct components. But we still used autotracer and 2 layer
(mostly because there's no more time). In the end, the size of the
individual boards and the amount of traces placed decreased significantly.
Definitely, the design is enhanced and I don't think there will be huge
problems, but it is still weak engineering according to sdiy standards. I
won't order the whole lot of PCB as I was planning out in the beginning,
I'll see if they're good first.
