This has probably also been brought up before, but why doesn't someone
donate a little bandwidth and HDD space for a file dump?  Either an FTP
w/ a common username and pass for sdiy users, or install one of the many
open source php CMS systems, and let people make a username and pass of
their own to access the content.  I realize that this 2nd option might
be straying a little to close to the land of forums, but it would be for
files and photo's only..  Shit, if anyone has the webspace w/ mysql and
php abilities, I'll get it all set up. (I don't have any outbound
bandwidth, or I'd host it myself)  
W/ one of  the CMS systems, it would be easy so that each SDIY person
who wanted could make their own little web page, with photos of their
synth, and sound samples and all..; right in one central spot.
