Really nice work as usual! Are you planning on selling kits of this module?

Hello,

I have uploaded two homemade videos on YouTube of my new module, named the
"Quantix8". It is a RAM CV-Quantizer,/Wavetable ocs module fully editable in
real time by MIDIIt is a melt/fusion of an CV-quantiser/Wavetable with a MIDI
eprom emulator ;)

http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=sqBdXgT-3eQ

This module is in fact quite similar to any eprom CV-Quantizer/Wavetable but i
have replaced the eprom by a 1Mbit static RAM chip plus a PIC with a consistant
MIDI sysex protocol to manage it. The static RAM contain two matrix of 16x16
waveforms of 256 samples ( 8 bits)...Waveforms are CV selectable ( bank/wave).

I have also writen a complete wavetable editor software for PC(9x/XP) to
transmit/receive waveforms and other parameters. This software include a 1V/Oct
quantized CV scale generator who can compute all the possible scales playable
with 12 notes and also a more 'classic' waveform generator, morphers, etc...

Notes about videos :

- i made them with a cheap web cam ...so sorry for the artistic blurrrr and no
sound...

- they have been recorded on the same PC used for the quantix8 demo...It is a
very old PC( 1Ghz amd) so all midi transmission you can see on those videos are
hardly slowed down,at least by a factor of 10 compared to the normal situation!

- the scope monitors what's happen on the Quantix8 output

- the Quantix8 input ( fast ADC)is driven by a BF generator ( the box on the
scope) set for the demo at the arbitrary value of 5KHz ;) As this BF
generator do not provide a SAW waveform (sic), i have used a Triangle and set
the scope to show only the up ramp to parse all the RAM lsb adresses...

More to comme on my web site very soon :)

Cheers,

Marc b.
