it was one of three that i had.. i kept the mod'd one and the other 4.2's
i sold, they were in really good shape.
this one, i bought out of the trunk of a car on haight street in sf from a
guy from LA who worked for ik multimedia and i assume took position of it
after someone he knew stole it and left it at his house or something
it came with this funny reel on which you could hear a LA tae bow type of
guy giving wrong instructions for how to use the machine.
i should have recorded that.
i took it to dan dugan to get it fixed up and he did a serial number
stolen property search before releasing it back to me with a $1400 bill
for maint.. which was fair... anyway, since it was the most banged up of
the 3 or 4 that i had, i decided to play with it a bit.
***k the purists... i make music and mod gear to that end.
