And the answer is: 4 1/4 inches. That's assuming my pocket tape rule
can be trusted. I should point out, however, that even paia's kits
expect you to tuck bits under the lips to get almost an additional 1/4
inch top and bottom. But a vertical card that must fit has to be less
than 4 1/4 inches.
