[sdiy] What to do with REALLY obsolete parts?

I'm sure a 'mosern' 741 exceeds an early 741 in pretty well all regards,
certainly noise.
The question is whether the improvements are such that a circuit that was
stable with the original 741 is still stable. Checking the respective data
sheets is always a good thing to do.
