Since I'm getting no response, is it because this is an unsuitable place 
for the above subject, or is it because it's too complicated to figure 
out? I posted here because the finished project will be a "MIDI 
specialized computer" and because several parts of my project have to do 
with MIDI.

If there are better places for this, where should I go?
I've tried the usual electronics related newsgroups, but no response 
there either. Are there any good electronics related mailing lists or 
forums that I may have missed? I'd be grateful if someone could point me 
in the right direction.
