[sdiy] potentiometer lubrication - the definitive answer?

Right, well...

In the absence (yet) of any absolute conclusion, i shall, for the time
being, accquire some greese of some sort to improve the feel of pots after
cleaning and so forth.

So then, my following query -

I see things advertised specifically as being silicon and non-silicon for
starters, one of which, i assume, is preferable in some situations... (but i
havent quite worked that out)

The other thing is that, just looking about, very little things that i can
easily obtain (im in the uk) really mention ergonomics.
(note: ive seen deoxit stuff advertised before, but the availibility/cost
here dosnt seem so good...)

For example, this -

http://www.rapidonline.com/searchresults.aspx?style=0&kw=87-1172
or this
http://www.rapidonline.com/searchresults.aspx?style=0&kw=87-0960

from rapid both look the job, but as to if itll give the tactile feel, who
knows?

Any more comments from anyone?

Cheers, Julian
