[sdiy] driving relays with 4017

Hi Hohum,
First of all why do you need relays with the 4017? Are you building a kinda 
sequenced switching module (haha I guess a sequential switch :P)? If it's 
only a signal you can use just the bare 4017 fine (you may want to add 
diodes, etc. to protect the chip though).
