[sdiy] while I'm being dumb... Tempco Question

So, I'm looking at Laurie Biddulph's "tempco.pdf" file.

Here's the dumb question part.
TCR = (R1 * TC1 + R2 * TC2) / (R1 + R2)

So, putting a couple 1k tempco's in series gives a 2k tempco with the same
TCR.  Uhm.  Any drawback?  I mean, besides possible additional error's from
general tolerance.
