[sdiy] mounting PCBs to FRAC panels

It's not as sturdy as the stooge brackets, but I've used aluminum
angle (basically a long strip of aluminum that was bent at a 90
degree angle down the middle of its length, they can be found at just
about any hardware store), cut down to whatever length I need. If you
use the small alpha pots (or any other pot with a small enough
width), with a wide enough angle you can drill a hole into the angle
corresponding with the pot holes in the front panel, and use the pots
to fasten the angle to the front panel. If your PCB has holes in the
corners, you can then drill holes in the angle that correspond to the
holes on the PCB, then screw it in place. It'll only hold the PCB on
one side, but that's all screwing through the front panel using L
brackets would do, too.

I suppose you could also use jacks to mount the angle to the PCB, but
pots seemed sturdier to me.

Hope this helps,
Chris
