It's not as elegant as the MOTM pot bracket to be sure, but I add two  
small mounting holes in the front panel and then use two 90 degree  
brackets to mount the PCB perpendicular to the front panel. Given the  
lack of vertical space in the frac format, this seems to work well.  
It's a technique I copied from  Metalbox and Paia modules. If you are  
willing to do some extra work, you could follow the route used by the  
good Prof. Richter of Wiard. The PCBs in his designs are mounted  
parallel to the front panel, and front panel components such as jacks  
and pots which are mounted to the PCB actually hold the PCB to the  
front panel without the use of additional mounting hardware. This is  
probably the most elegant solution in the frac format, as it  
eliminates flying wires, mounting hardware. The drawback is, of  
course, that the PCB has to be designed to work this way from the  
beginning. So.... if you are planning to build modules from PCBs  
available from CGS, MFOS, etc. etc., you're out of luck unless you  
plan to create your own layouts and roll your own PCBs at home.
