I use these:

if I mount the PCB perpendicular to the front panel. On some modules, I want to make them very "shallow" (if the PCB isn't too large) so I mount the PCB parallel to the front panel with threaded standoffs.
I like using black oxide screws to mount things to the front panel. This place has a nice selection and decent prices:

I have been searching for a good CHEAP solution to mounting PCB boards to
front panels in FRAC format.
I really like the brackets that MOTM users have access to:
http://www.hotrodmotm.com/bracket.htm
A trip to the hardware store yielded some galvanized brackets (for bracing
2x4s in construction), and they almost work. They are a bit too thick AND
way hard to drill.
How is anybody mounting PCBs to Frac panels?
Any tips would be appreciated.
