Hi All,

I made a purchase of 1000 jacks from Taiwan company Lih Sheng recently.
The jacks look and feel are almost identical to the switchcraft
112A Hi-D JAX switching jack.
The Tip is shunted to a third pin which acts like a switch when a
plug is inserted.

The differences are:

1/These a metric so fit into a 9mm (0.355") hole. This is only .020"
smaller than the standard 3/8" hole size so will work with the larger hole
Despite having metric threaded collar they are still 1/4" and work
with all standard 1/4" phone plugs.
Matching nuts and washers are included

2/The nut and washer are not as nicely finished as the switchcraft
but unless you compare side by side it is hard to tell on the nut.
The washer is a bit different but does the job.

3/ These are PC mount but also have a hole in the leg for point to
point wiring. They are good if you need both but don't want to
purchase separate
PC mount and solder lug versions.

The price is $0.50 each +shipping by USPS and would prefer if people
interested would purchase in quantities of 100 or more.
The Switchcraft parts are $1.50 from Digikey.

These are good jacks and will be of interest to people looking for
cheaper parts for DIY or designs with lots of jacks like mixers or
sequencers etc.
I don't use these on my B series modules so don't expect the
identical part although they are very close.

email me at modcan at sympatico.ca if you are interested.
I take Paypal.

Regards
Bruce
