The EEs would know better than I would, but I believe that the response of a
filter while it is being swept, is somewhat (depending on the filter and the
rate of sweep) different from that of a stationary filter at the same point.
Which can lead to overloading when you are doing fast sweeps, for example.
But a slow sweep would be OK for all practical pourposes.
