The 4053 has 3 "dual throw" switches which can be used
interchangeably, but here's one way to do it:
U3A
upper left = IN/OUT ax (pin 12)
lower left = IN/OUT ay (pin 13)
right = OUT/IN ax or ay (pin 14)
bottom = A (pin 11)
U3B
upper left = IN/OUT bx (pin 2)
lower left = IN/OUT by (pin 1)
right = OUT/IN bx or by (pin 15)
bottom = B (pin 10)
U3C
upper left = IN/OUT cx (pin 5)
lower left = IN/OUT cy (pin 3)
right = OUT/IN cx or cy (pin 4)
bottom = C (pin 9)
The 2 connections on the left of each section are the In/Outs; the
connections on the right are the corresponding Out/Ins; and the lines
going out the bottom handle the control signals (which select between
the x and y In/Outs).
