Couple of things to think about.
Are they linear, log or expo. linear = cv, log = volume, expo = freq
Depending on the design of the filters the caps you use to get rid of the
zippering may also effect the freq response.

Subject: [sdiy] digital potentiometers as "volume" control
Hey all,
I'm currently designing a filter bank. The idea was to have 2 filters that
can be placed
in serial or parallel or anything in between.
To allow full flexibility, it has 6 potentiometers.

filters)
Are digital potentiometers a good way to accomplish this? The filters are
controlled using
multiplying D/A converters with filtering caps to counter zippering.
Obviously zippering is
an issue with the potentiometer approach.
Are there different solutions?
Regards,
Tom Haber
