[sdiy] Low current power supply?

Hi John,

Thanks for the info. I'm actually pretty happy with my current solution.

1) It's very simple.
2) It's very small. (about the size of a 9v battery)
3) It's very cool running.
4) It's very cheap.
5) It uses parts that I already have.
6) It's in no way overkill.

If it's a bad idea though, I'd like to hear why before I do it again :)
