[sdiy] Fully assignable sequencer

That's a really great idea!

So, is this as simple as I'm thinking.. The output voltages from the
R/2R would be the steps for the notes?
Then I could add an on-off-on switch to each stage to shift up or down
an octave.

Now if only I could find 12 or 16 position switches surplus somewhere.
I can find inexpensive 10p switches everywhere, but I don't know what 2
notes I'd leave out!

Binary thumbwheel switches. Diode OR gated from the outputs into a 4 bit
R/2R D/A converter, driven by a 4017 or similar.
