Yes, very good book.

There is also a good deal of information in many of the datasheets for these
parts.  Sometimes the circuit examples and test circuits need only trivial
modification to get them incorporated into a larger design.

Well, I still like solderless breadboards, but they weren't junky ones apparently,
they've gotten a whole lot of use and I have no problems with mine.  That said, I
like stripboard too, I usually find stripboard that is etched in the same or
similar configuration to a SBB and I found it easy to transfer a circuit built up
on SBB to stripboard.
