[sdiy] clock Divider

Im looking for a simple circuit to divide down a clock signal, but can't
find one. I just want something that will /2 /4 /6 /8 /16 /32. I don't
need anything fancy. Can someone point me in the right direction?

While Im writing, I also have an issue where some things are much more
sensitive to others for the clock input. Some of my modules will
trigger w/ just about anything at the input, and others are very picky,
or need a very large signal. I know this is about as basic as it gets,
but does anyone have any schematics out there for a simple circuit that
will take the trigger signal from my midi/cv (which is putting out about
8v) and bring it up to 10 or more volts?

Just so you know my skill level (or lack there of), I've built a big
synth, but it's all other peoples designs. I've gotten good at
troubleshooting circuits, and can find my way around a schematic. My
breadboarded circuits rarely work, but that may be the fault of my 10
year old breadboard w/ worn out contacts, because the same circuit
usually works when I print up a PCB.. Anyway, I think the divider and
something to bring my trigger signals up should be quite simple. I
tried building a divider last night, but nothing came out of it, SO,
time to ask for some help.

Thanks a lot!

If anyone cares to see the synth Ive made, I started a page at
