SV: [sdiy] DiY Arp2600 clone

Has anybody ever tried using those iron on t-shirt transfer sheets to get a 
panel graphic on aluminum?

Seems similar to Dye Sublimation printing (though obviously a bit low-rent). 
Perhaps hitting it with some sort of spray on sealer would keep it nice???
