Okay, I know that 1/8" = 3.175mm, which is appreciably smaller than 3.5mm.

Are all minijacks the same size? I googled extensively, and all the sites I came across use the two sizes willy-nilly and pretty much interchangeably.

Or am I faced with a situation where there are loose 1/8" plugs in 3.5mm jacks, and 3.5mm plugs that must be inserted (once only) into 1/8" jacks with a big mallet?

Just wondering....because this past weekend I was feeling as if the synth gods were playing evil practical jokes.
