[sdiy] Replacing EL-Foil backling by LED backlight

Hi List,

I'm repairing a Juno-2 which has, among other things, a dead
backlight.  I managed to find a LED backlight display that
is exactly the same size for next to nothing so I'd like
to try that first before ordering a custom-made foil from
Midi-Rakete.

The one question I have is: how much current does EL-Foil
usually draw?  I plan to remove the components that power
it and replace them by parts to drive the LED backlight,
but if the LED draws significantly more than the EL, the
power supply might not be up to it.
