Hi,
just to clarify things, the early Philichorda Organs [ not the Gm751 ]
used valve oscilators [ ecc82 ? ] and neon dividers. and were
manufactured as far as I know from around 1961
they sound better than the later Organs as the waveforms from the
dividers were slightly different.
key contacts were specially made so that the attack of the sound was
slower than using standard gold contacts such as the Vox Continental.
there was a separate valve amp unit with built in Stereo reverb . [ that
fitted underneath on the stand ]
later models used a transistorised amp built in with mono reverb that
didn't sound quite as good.
but the two Organs do look similar to each other
there was also later on a two manual transistor / ic version with more
voices available
regards Peter
