Hi.
Most of my ICs are regular thru-hole, but I recently scored some useful SMT
parts on evilBay very cheaply.
I like the "undo-ability" of perfboard, and wonder if there's any DIY
solutions anyone's used successfully, to allow the use of regular IC sockets
for SMT ICs. The first thought is to very carefully etch tiny boards, then
drill some holes for exactly the right sort of pins, and so on.....
OK for a one-off I guess, but anyone got a better idea?
I may need quite a few (16+) for one current project/dream/fun waste of
time... :-).
Cheers,
Dave
