Right, and there's no such thing as a routing problem with  
perfboard.  You just wire it up and go.

Very often, your physical perfboard layout can look very similar to  
your on-paper schematic layout, which is not always the case with a PCB.

I, too, like working with the stuff.  I find it somewhat relaxing and  
zen-like.
