Thanks for the caveat.

One of my favorite trick on the DX7, using a sub-audio carrier and audio
modulator, should be possible without problems, though.

Apparently this method creates harmonics as distortion poducts, which then
are spread by +/- the ammount of the carrier frequency, each.
I remember that was the way to get convincing organ sounds, but it's
been a while.
