The gold plating on PCB edge connectors has been
getting thinner & thinner over the years.So I'm not sure it is 
worth going for the gld in a box of 1970s PCBs.
There is no home DIY method, unless your home has no 
objection to cyanide leaching or amalgamation.

You could cut of the gold parts & keep them for 
further investigation.

I think the few old computers with a significant amount of gold 
had it mostly in the backplane sockets.
Maybe we will hear more from Batz!!!
