[sdiy] "Shareware"-style donations to GaTech for Aaron's synth videos

Hi there,

A while back I posted the videos of my lectures from my the Fall 2006 
offering of my special topics class on the "Theory and Design of Music 
Synthesizers." They're still up here:

The response to them has been wonderful and tremendous.

At that time, I put in a note asking for a small donation to GaTech, 
earmarked toward helping me with my synthesizer-related educational and 
research endeavors at Tech, if you found the videos to be useful.

It's taken me a long time to figure out a mechanism for doing so. I've 
been hoping to find a way for people to do it via credit card or paypal, 
but for a variety of strange reasons, I couldn't get that worked out. It 
looks like the only way we can make this work is via snail mailing checks, 
which I know is less convenient.

I'm asking for $25 or thereabouts, although any amount is appreciated.

If you are hosting my videos somewhere in whatever format, please include 
the class website and a note about looking there for information on making 
donations.

In addition to helping me buy parts and equipment for student use, your 
donation would also help "legitimize" my synthy activities in the eyes of 
my superiors.

I'm hoping to teach the class for a third time this coming year, and maybe 
make up some nice powerpoint slides this time. If I can convince our 
Savannah campus to offer it there over a video link, the lectures will be 
taped again, and again I will make them available.
