It seem logical here considering the wide amount of resitors to match , not only
inside each filter , but also between  voices...More they are more the
probablility of error increase...

I do not think Mr Oberheim was closely matching VCF resistors together between 
each voices of the Xpander...They just used 1% as a good compromise basis. I
think that 0.1% ( or 0.01% )  low ppm/°C resistors would have exploded the
device price who was ( and still be) not bad  ...
