Well..... if you only want whole notes, that's one thing..
but if you want to sweep a voltage, and have the VCO
follow the voltage exponentially, you had better have
some pretty good resolution!
The pitch resolution of MIDI would be fine - but it's a big ask
(talking pitchbend, not note number).
And if you want to sweep at an audio rate (for FM) then
the process had better happen VERY fast indeed!
