[sdiy] VCO Accuracy

I'm never happy when I tune my VCO's. I always want the range of what
is in tune to be as big as possible. Then when tuning several at once,
I want the deviation to be as close as possible between all the vco's.
I just keep at it until I'm about to go mad from listening to the
constant buzzing and beating, then stop and stagger away and try to
regain my sanity.
It's never an issue when playing the synth, and the little differences
between the tuning of the vco's give the synth some character.

Subject: [sdiy] VCO Accuracy
A noob question about VCO's...
How accurate does one calibrate a midi 2 CV unit (+/-0.001V)?
How accurate does one calibrate a VCO? (+/-1Hz)
I understand that the accuracy is limited by design, but what is the
"allowed" deviation before our human ear detects the error?
I'm about to calibrate a MOTM 300 & 310 and an oakley VCO. Although I've
tuned them after building I'm looking to get all 3 of them in "perfect"
tune. Is there an easy way to accomplish this?
Thanks,
ToAd
