Id second that...

After far too long hovering bits or wire over oven hotplates turned up to max, i eventually got arround to attempting to buy a heat 
gun (upon which point someone said - oh, i think ive got one of those you can have...!)

...and they make life so much easier.  If youre using much heatshrink, youre hurting yourself by not getting one! : )
