If this IS regulated it should give +/- 12v with no load at all,
If it isn't regulated I wouldn't be surprised to see +/- 15v or even
more!

Either way, if you want to avoid mains then this is a reasonable start,
Just build a simple regulator with something like 7812 and 7912
regulators
and a couple of 6800uF capacitors IF the transformer isn't regulated and
smoothed.

That's my thoughts anyway, Alan

It depends by what you mean by "work".

If the supply is not regulated - and I don't see any evidence that it is

then the + or - voltage could be up or down by a volt depending on the
mains, or load variations.

That isn't going to damage the synth modules attached - but it isn't
going
to do anything for stability either.

Perhaps someone has experience with this supply?
