[sdiy] power supply

[Dump Static]

Is there a fairly easy way to test this using a multimeter?  Apply a load and monitor the voltage?

I don't have any +/- 12v modules...  what's a good way to load a 12v power supply?  Try to start my car with it?  (heh)

It depends by what you mean by "work".

If the supply is not regulated - and I don't see any evidence that it is - 
then the + or - voltage could be up or down by a volt depending on the
mains, or load variations.

That isn't going to damage the synth modules attached - but it isn't going
to do anything for stability either.

Perhaps someone has experience with this supply?
